Celebrity Traitors finalists 'leaked' by star's friend, source claims
Celebrity Traitors finalists 'leaked' by star's friend

The Celebrity Traitors final is still three weeks away, but the stars making it to the end have reportedly leaked already. A friend of one of this year’s contestants has claimed to know who has made it to the highly anticipated final, with the BBC now hoping the names don’t appear online.

NDAs and the Bayeux Tapestry

This is all despite this year’s line-up, which includes the likes of Maya Jama, Jerry Hall, and James Blunt, signing strict Non-Disclosure Agreements, which Ross Kemp described as ‘longer than the Bayeux Tapestry’.

Several of the players have spoken about the NDAs they had to sign before heading to Ardross Castle.

Joe Lycett admits ignoring the rules

Comedian Joe Lycett also revealed this week that despite being required to keep his involvement in the show quiet until it’s confirmed by the BBC, he completely ignored it. He said: ‘They say, “Don’t tell anyone you’re doing it”, but if you search the word “Traitors” in my WhatsApp, I told everyone! I was telling Uber drivers.’

A source told The Sun of the recent leak: ‘Because of the leak, who makes the final is now a hot topic at showbiz parties.

‘It’s also spread how certain players get on, not helped by the fact another source has been suggesting who’s been placed for interviews around the final. It’s vital the leaks don’t make it to gossip forums online and on social media where fans can find the information.

‘The BBC is hoping that anyone happening upon the info or hearing it from friends will help keep the secrets of the castle and stay quiet, the problem is a small group will be aware of The Celebrity Traitors’ secrets, including those who work on the show, the celebrities who ran the course and possibly their close family and friends.’

Previous leak of results

Last year, ahead of viewers tuning in to find out whether traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr could scoop the £100,000 prize, or faithfuls Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olosuga, the results also leaked online.

Crave, a streaming service in Canada, leaked the results the evening before the final aired in the UK, meaning hundreds of people already knew who won. The episode was accessible for roughly 90 minutes and watched by a few hundred people before being taken down.

Metro has contacted the BBC for comment.
