Brooklyn Beckham's World Cup Dig at Parents May Backfire
Brooklyn Beckham's World Cup Dig at Parents May Backfire

The Beckham family feud continues to escalate, and just when Harper Beckham showed up at her brother Brooklyn's house in Beverly Hills hoping for a visit, the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham appeared in a new DoorDash ad that seems to pour more fuel on the family divide.

The DoorDash Ad That Raises Eyebrows

In the advertisement posted earlier this week, Brooklyn sits on a sofa and flashes what can only be described as a smirk, saying: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home...it's a long story." He then places a stack of tickets on the coffee table, gets up, and walks out of view. The camera pans to the table as the on-screen caption reads: "It's complicated. More soon."

The 11-second clip appears odd to many viewers. For a food delivery ad, there is no television in the room, no food or drinks on the table—only a DoorDash-branded cooler bag, a luxury watch, and a camera.

Timing Raises Questions

The ad's release is notable, coming just three days after Harper's failed attempt to hand-deliver a letter to Brooklyn. A representative for Brooklyn alleged to Entertainment Tonight: "That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all. This was choreographed for the cameras."

The Beckham family camp quickly responded, with a source stating: "It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother."

Brooklyn's Smirk Suggests Comfort with Estrangement

This is not Brooklyn's first food delivery service collaboration; he previously worked with Uber Eats. However, his smirky delivery in the DoorDash ad suggests he is comfortable with his choices and may be acknowledging that the family estrangement is his doing. He might be watching the World Cup at home, but he is not "coming home" with his dad and brothers to sing Sweet Caroline.
