Brooklyn Beckham has delivered a thinly-veiled public message to his estranged family, just days after it was revealed he had blocked them all on Instagram. The 26-year-old aspiring chef shared a video that has sparked intense speculation about the deepening rift within the famous Beckham clan.
A Lyrical Jab on Social Media
In a clip posted to his Cloud23 hot sauce TikTok account, Brooklyn is seen strolling through a city. The footage is set to Lady Gaga's hit song Telephone, with the lyric 'sorry I cannot hear you I'm kinda busy' highlighted in bold text. He then pivots to promote his hot sauce, but the timing and selected lyric were widely interpreted as a direct retort to his family.
This post came shortly after his younger brother, Cruz Beckham, 20, broke his silence on the social media fallout. Cruz refuted claims that their parents had unfollowed Brooklyn, instead stating on his Instagram Story that David, Victoria, and he himself had been 'blocked' by the eldest Beckham son.
Parents 'Devastated' by Digital Disconnection
Sources close to David and Victoria Beckham insist they would never choose to unfollow their son. They view the block as a stark sign of his 'complete estrangement' from the family. "David and Victoria will never stop loving Brooklyn," a source said. "They are devastated at this fall out."
The Instagram block is understood to be their last remaining connection to Brooklyn's life, as communication has reportedly broken down entirely. "They haven't spoken for months and months now," the insider added, noting that following him was a silent message of continued love and interest in his life.
A Beckham-Free Christmas in Miami
The very public dispute casts a shadow over the festive season. Brooklyn will not join his parents, brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, or sister Harper, 14, at the family's £10 million Cotswolds home. Instead, he and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, 30, will spend Christmas with her family in Miami, Florida.
This decision is seen as a further blow to the Beckhams, following Brooklyn's absence from David's 50th birthday celebrations in May and his failure to acknowledge his father's knighthood in November. Nicola also does not follow David and Victoria on Instagram, and they no longer follow her.
The strain is particularly felt by the family matriarchs. Victoria's mother, Jackie Adams, hung a Christmas stocking for Brooklyn at her Hertfordshire home in a poignant sign of hope. Friends say both Jackie and David's mother, Sandra, are 'extremely sad' about the situation, with concerns that they do not know when they will see Brooklyn next.
