Blake Shelton Slams Divorce Rumours with Gwen Stefani as 'Lies'
Blake Shelton Hits Back at Gwen Stefani Divorce Rumours

Country music star Blake Shelton has publicly dismissed the latest wave of speculation suggesting his marriage to pop icon Gwen Stefani is on the rocks, branding the stories as blatant falsehoods.

Shelton Calls Out Tabloid 'Reality' on Air

While co-hosting the radio show Country Countdown USA, the 49-year-old singer addressed the recurring claims that began circulating in October 2025, which alleged the pair were ending their five-year union. Shelton expressed his frustration with the cyclical nature of the gossip, noting how narratives shift based on the most mundane sightings.

"I started noticing these articles popping up about 'Blake and Gwen, they're split up,'" Shelton recounted. "'They're not even seeing each other anymore, they're going through a divorce.' And then, a week later, a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store … 'Oh, they're back together again!'"

He continued to mock the absurdity, adding, "And another week goes by, and we're not seen at the grocery store … 'They're divorcing.'" Shelton also highlighted the sophisticated fakery involved, admitting he has seen manipulated social media images so convincing he questions them himself. "I see pictures of Gwen and I on social media that I really go, 'That looks so real.' But I know I don't even own that shirt or, 'Whose car is that?'"

The experience has led him to be deeply sceptical, with Shelton stating he doesn't "believe anything anymore that I see on the internet."

A Love Story Forged on 'The Voice'

The couple's relationship began in 2014 when they were both coaches on the hit TV show The Voice. Their bond developed soon after, with both ending their previous marriages; Stefani split from Gavin Rossdale and Shelton divorced Miranda Lambert.

Their romance culminated in an engagement in 2020, followed by a wedding the next year at Shelton's Ten Point Ranch near Tishomingo, Oklahoma. They have successfully blended their families, with Shelton becoming a stepfather to Stefani's three sons from her marriage to Rossdale: Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11.

United Front Against the Noise

This is not the first time the high-profile pair have had to confront rumours about their relationship. In a 2024 interview with Nylon, Stefani acknowledged that constant speculation comes with their territory but insisted it does not affect their strong bond.

"But when you're in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us," Stefani asserted. "You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship – I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something. It's just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is."

Her comments underscore the couple's strategy of focusing on their private reality over public fiction, a stance Shelton's recent remarks strongly reaffirm. Together, they present a united front, determined not to let external gossip penetrate the foundation of their marriage.
