Bindi Irwin swapped her signature khakis for a dose of Tinseltown glamour this week, stepping out in full Hollywood mode to cheer on her younger brother, Robert Irwin, during the semi-finals of Dancing With The Stars US.
A Family Affair in the Audience
The 27-year-old conservationist made it a family outing, arriving at the Tuesday night event with her husband, Chandler Powell, and their young daughter, Grace. Bindi cut an effortlessly chic figure in a sophisticated, low-cut black dress, which she accessorised with stilettos and a matching double-breasted overcoat. Her long hair was styled with a bouncy wave, complementing a glamorous makeup look finished with a delicate gold chain necklace and a designer handbag.
Before the main event, the family ducked into Robert's trailer for a surprise visit to wish him luck. Chandler looked smart in a low-key blue suit paired with a white open-neck shirt and brown boots, while little Grace looked adorable in a frilly lace dress and a white cardigan.
A Perfect Score and a Final Berth
The support clearly paid off. An excited Bindi watched from the audience as Robert and his professional dance partner, Witney Carson, delivered a sizzling jive routine that earned them a perfect score of 10 from the judges. This outstanding performance has successfully catapulted the young wildlife warrior into the DWTS US grand final.
Celebrating Love and Milestones
The week has been filled with celebration for the Irwin family. Just days before the dance competition, Bindi and Chandler marked a significant relationship milestone. The mother-of-one posted a sweet tribute on Instagram last Friday, revealing it was the 12th anniversary of the day they first met.
She shared two loved-up photos, including one of Chandler lifting her into his arms during their celebrations. "Twelve years ago I met the man of my dreams. Chandler, my heart is yours. Always and forever," Bindi captioned the post. Chandler reciprocated the sentiment in the comments, writing, "And my heart is yours. I love you so much."
The couple first connected in November 2013 when Chandler, a former professional wakeboarder, visited Australia Zoo where Bindi was his guide. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the zoo on 25 March 2020, and welcomed their daughter, Grace, exactly one year later on 25 March 2021. The family is currently based temporarily in the US to support Robert throughout his Dancing With The Stars journey.
