ITV's beloved presenting duo Ant and Dec have kicked off the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! with their signature brand of humour, this time setting their sights on new campmate, the rapper Aitch.
Mockery in the Jungle
While introducing the celebrities on the 16th November 2025 episode, the Geordie hosts wasted no time in poking fun at the 25-year-old Manchester artist, whose real name is Harrison James Armstrong. Dec began the segment by stating, "We've got one of the biggest names in British music - H." Ant immediately seized the opportunity for a joke, quipping, "H from Steps, that's a good booking."
After Dec clarified that it was, in fact, the rapper Aitch and not the Steps pop star, Ant feigned disappointment. "H from Steps is rapping now. What a tragedy," he lamented. Dec continued the playful ribbing, suggesting that on a diet of rice and beans, "Aitch is probably worried he's not going to rap for three whole weeks." Ant delivered the final punchline, concluding, "That's rap, with a capital C."
A High-Flying Jungle Entry
Aitch was among a group of five celebrities, including Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty, Kelly Brook, and Martin Kemp, who made a dramatic entrance into the Australian jungle. The group performed a skydive from a helicopter onto a beach, a classic I'm A Celebrity initiation.
Their challenges did not end there. To earn their place in the camp, the new arrivals were then tasked with wading through a gruesome mixture of offal and slime. Their objective was to find a key fob that would grant them access to a getaway car, their final transport to the main camp where they would meet the rest of the contestants.
Aitch's Brush with Controversy
As the rapper begins his jungle journey, fans are watching to see if his time on the show will be as eventful as his career outside of it. Aitch, who rose to fame in 2018 with his track "Straight Rhyme" and saw his debut album "Close to Home" reach number two on the UK Albums Chart, has previously faced public backlash.
One of his most infamous moments occurred in 2022. An advertisement for his debut album mistakenly covered a cherished mural of Joy Division icon Ian Curtis in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The artwork, painted by street artist Akse P19, was a local landmark, and its temporary disappearance caused significant outrage among Mancunians.
Reflecting on the incident, Aitch told BBC Breakfast that he felt like "the most hated person in Manchester for about 40 minutes." He explained that he first learned of the mistake through social media and acted swiftly, contacting both Amazon and the original artist to halt the billboard and arrange for the mural's restoration. "We just put a stop to mine straight away," he stated.
This year's line-up promises plenty of drama, featuring a diverse cast including reality TV's Jack Osbourne, comedian Ruby Wax, Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp, model Kelly Brook, and Emmerdale star Lisa Riley, alongside comedian Eddie Kadi, EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, sports broadcaster Alex Scott, and social media personality Morgan Burtwistle, known online as Angryginge.
