The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs showcased her impressively toned physique in a daring plunging swimsuit this Wednesday, while posting a deeply affectionate tribute to her fiancé Billy Delbosq. The 35-year-old reality television personality, who is preparing to marry later this year, has been openly documenting her fitness regimen on social media after revealing that stress caused her to lose more weight than intended.
A Birthday Celebration and Wedding Countdown
Amy marked Billy's 42nd birthday by sharing a delightful collection of photographs from their relationship, including amusing images of him lifting her during a holiday. She accompanied the post with a heartfelt caption, writing: 'My Future Husband (counting down the days) ♥️ Happy birthday to my best friend @billydelbosq8 … you drive me mad, but couldn't do life without you, the most amazing dad (the fun one) the most caring person.'
The mother-of-four added: 'We love you so much babe and so lucky to have you, can't wait to spoil you today. Polly, Ritchie, Billy and Milly love you.' Amy shares daughter Polly, eight, with ex Bradley Wright, and son Ritchie, seven, with former partner Ritchie, while she and Billy are proud parents to two-year-old twins Billy and Millie.
The Fitness Journey and Weight Struggles
Amy recently explained how battling significant stress led to unintended weight loss, prompting her new fitness mission. In a candid Instagram post featuring before-and-after photos, she wrote: 'Can't believe I'm uploading this picture but here goes. The journey so far. So I have to be honest with you all I was overweight and unhappy and wanted to achieve...'
She continued: 'So I decided to lose weight, during that process, I battled with stress and lost a little more than I wanted, and now I am working with @jon_jkphysique to start phase 2!! Which I am so excited about.'
Building Muscle and Regaining Healthy Weight
The television personality elaborated that her current goal is to increase muscle mass, gain healthy weight, and become more toned. She admitted: 'Got to be honest I am finding this is harder than losing weight, but Jon has been so supportive, understanding and the expert at nutrition, we are a work in progress.'
Amy emphasized her confidence in her nutrition coach, noting: 'His results are amazing, for people who want to drop fat, improve their health or understand nutrition, so I know I am in good hands with jon_jkphysique.' She concluded her post by excitedly reminding followers: 'Also, did I say I'm getting married this year.'
Personal Challenges and Family Health Concerns
The star has faced considerable personal difficulties recently, including her brother Billy being hospitalized last month following a serious car accident that left his vehicle written off. Amy expressed relief that 'someone was looking over her brother' after the collision.
In an emotional interview with OK! Magazine, Amy addressed her weight loss and the cruel trolling she has received, explaining: 'I'm going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me. I worry about my mum constantly. She's very emotional – she thinks she's going to have another heart attack.'
She defended herself against critics, stating: 'People think I'm not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I'm a bit heavier than I am at the moment. There's so much going on at the minute – it's the result of pure stress.'
Amy previously revealed that incorrect training methods caused her to lose two stone along with muscle mass. As she juggles parenting four children, concerns about her mother's health following a heart attack, and wedding preparations, the TOWIE star remains focused on her fitness goals while counting down to her upcoming nuptials.
