Alison Hammond's Vocal Struggles After Night Out
Alison Hammond appeared on Monday's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Unpacked with a noticeably raspy voice that immediately caught viewers' attention. The This Morning host, who is currently in Australia as a guest on the popular spin-off show, didn't hesitate to reveal the amusing reason behind her vocal struggles.
The 50-year-old television presenter explained that her hoarse voice resulted from partying into the early hours with comedian Leigh Francis, best known for creating the character Keith Lemon. During her appearance alongside host Joel Dommett, Alison openly discussed her condition while trying to downplay any concerns.
Revealing the Truth Behind the Hoarseness
'Shall I be honest with you? I'm a little bit under the weather,' Alison told Joel Dommett during the show. 'I don't want to make the show all about me. I've just lost my voice. I feel fine.' She then directly addressed her co-star, adding, 'Partly because you took me out last night as well.'
The conversation took a humorous turn when Leigh Francis, 52, playfully countered Alison's version of events. 'I think you took me out last night,' he responded, prompting Alison to clarify that he had indeed brought her home. Francis then joked, 'I did. We went back to my room and we watched some adult material,' which Alison quickly denied with a firm 'No we didn't.'
Host Joel Dommett offered his own take on the situation, telling Alison, 'I must say I quite like your voice husky. It's quite sexy.'
Addressing Fan Concerns and Emotional Camp Moments
Later addressing concerns from worried fans, Alison took to her Instagram to provide reassurance about her health. 'Hello everyone, I thought I should mention. I have a little bit of a sore throat,' she explained in her video message. 'I'm a little bit under the weather but I don't feel under the weather. You know when your voice is like leaving you? But I feel absolutely fine.'
She also mentioned having 'a little bit of a dodgy eye' but attributed her symptoms to allergies rather than serious illness, thanking followers for their concern while confirming she was managing well.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the celebrity camp, Jack Osbourne experienced an emotional moment while discussing his father Ozzy's recent passing. The 40-year-old reality star broke down in tears while recounting the 'shocking' death of the rock legend, who died of heart failure aged 76 on July 22 at his Buckinghamshire home.
Jack shared that despite knowing his father had been sick, the speed of his passing came as a shock, describing it as 'the ultimate mic drop' after Ozzy completed a massive final gig. Emmerdale star Lisa Riley offered support to her visibly emotional campmate during the difficult conversation.
In lighter moments from the episode, Martin Kemp and Kelly Brook successfully completed the 'Dingo Balls' challenge, combining general knowledge with bingo elements. The duo correctly answered all five trivia questions, though Kelly took an amusing tumble while exiting the challenge booth.
The celebrities later won chocolate for camp by correctly identifying that Spandau Ballet had more UK top 40 singles than the number of movies Kelly Brook has acted in.
