Alison Hammond has voiced her heartfelt concern for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Jack Osbourne, stating she finds it 'hard to watch his pain' so soon after the death of his legendary father, Ozzy Osbourne.
'Too Soon' For The Jungle
Speaking on the companion show I'm A Celebrity… Unpacked, the popular This Morning host expressed that she believes it was the wrong year for Jack to enter the jungle. "Do you know what I just feel like it was too soon for him to be in the jungle," Alison said. "I just feel like it shouldn't have been this year. I just think maybe he should've waited a little bit. I have found it quite painful seeing his pain on camera."
Jack Osbourne is one of the celebrities taking part in the 2025 series of the iconic ITV programme, which began on Sunday and will run for three weeks. His participation comes just months after his father, music icon Ozzy Osbourne, died in July.
Jack's Emotional Camp Conversation
Viewers of Monday's episode witnessed an emotional moment where Jack opened up about his loss to fellow campmate Lisa Riley. He revealed the death was a shock, despite Ozzy's lengthy health battles. "We knew he was sick for a while but it was definitely a shock," Jack shared. "We didn't know it would be that quick."
He poignantly added, "It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, alright I'm done." Jack also stated that he believed his father would have supported his decision to go on the show. Before entering the jungle, Jack had acknowledged it would be difficult to leave his family so soon after the tragedy, but revealed his mother, Sharon Osbourne, had encouraged him to take part.
Remembering a Rock Legend
Ozzy Osbourne's passing was confirmed by his family in July. The rock star died surrounded by his loved ones. His death came just days after he performed his farewell Back to the Beginning concert with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham.
The joint causes of his death were listed as an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction. The family's statement at the time read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love."
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
