The upcoming marriage between Olympic champion Adam Peaty and celebrity chef's daughter Holly Ramsay has been overshadowed by a dramatic family rift that has left the swimmer's parents completely excluded from the star-studded ceremony.
The Wedding Snub That Started It All
While preparations continue for the lavish Bath Abbey wedding next month, Adam Peaty's family in Staffordshire finds themselves completely cut off from the celebrations. The situation reached boiling point when Holly Ramsay posted pictures from her exclusive hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, with Adam's mother Caroline notably absent from the festivities.
Initial speculation suggested Caroline had been disinvited because she was "a normal working class mum who didn't fit the glamorous mould," but the reality has proven far more complex and deeply rooted in family conflicts.
The Key Players in the Peaty Family Drama
Caroline Peaty, the 59-year-old nursery manager who once woke at 4am to drive her son to training, has spoken openly about being disinvited from the wedding. She revealed the relationship deterioration began at the engagement party when her extended family weren't invited.
