Adam Peaty Family Feud: Parents Blacklisted from Wedding to Holly Ramsay
Adam Peaty's parents blacklisted from wedding to Holly Ramsay

The upcoming marriage between Olympic champion Adam Peaty and celebrity chef's daughter Holly Ramsay has been overshadowed by a dramatic family rift that has left the swimmer's parents completely excluded from the star-studded ceremony.

The Wedding Snub That Started It All

While preparations continue for the lavish Bath Abbey wedding next month, Adam Peaty's family in Staffordshire finds themselves completely cut off from the celebrations. The situation reached boiling point when Holly Ramsay posted pictures from her exclusive hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, with Adam's mother Caroline notably absent from the festivities.

Initial speculation suggested Caroline had been disinvited because she was "a normal working class mum who didn't fit the glamorous mould," but the reality has proven far more complex and deeply rooted in family conflicts.

The Key Players in the Peaty Family Drama

Caroline Peaty, the 59-year-old nursery manager who once woke at 4am to drive her son to training, has spoken openly about being disinvited from the wedding. She revealed the relationship deterioration began at the engagement party when her extended family weren't invited.

"Adam didn't take kindly to me sending that message," Caroline disclosed, adding that her son "rarely says sorry" and "has a very black and white view." The situation worsened when Adam informed her she would need four dresses for the wedding, and she wanted to wear her favourite cream one - something that breached wedding etiquette.

Caroline believes Gordon Ramsay's family is pulling Adam away, stating: "He's in Gordon's clutches. I can't help but feel like they are pulling him away from me. Their family is very insular."

The Criminal Past and Sibling Rifts

The only family member still attending is Adam's sister Bethany Peaty, who will bring her fiancé Dan Rogerson - a man with a serious criminal past. Rogerson, 37, was jailed in 2017 for possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply.

Remarkably, Rogerson attended Adam's stag trip to Budapest alongside Gordon Ramsay, while Adam's father Mark was invited but decided not to attend. A family insider revealed: "Adam and Holly know all about Dan's past. He used to be a nasty piece of work but hopefully time has helped him change."

The situation with Adam's brothers, James, 34, and Richard, 30, is even more strained. In his 2021 autobiography The Gladiator Mindset, Adam described his brothers in unflattering terms, detailing James's alleged previous struggles with "demons" and drug use.

The feud hit its lowest point this month when James was arrested on suspicion of harassment after allegedly sending threatening messages to Adam during his stag do. He has since been bailed.

Police Investigation and Public Fallout

Adam Peaty broke his silence on the matter through Instagram, writing: "Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself. My sister Bethany has also been targeted."

He confirmed there's an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events, preventing them from going into details about the family dispute.

Meanwhile, Adam's aunt Louise Williams has become the family's attack dog on social media, unleashing a public tirade against Holly Ramsay and branding her "divisive and hurtful" in comments on Holly's Instagram post.

As the December wedding approaches, what should have been a celebration of love between sporting royalty and culinary celebrity has instead become a public spectacle of family division and heartbreak.
