Ashley Roberts has revealed she was left stunned by David Haye’s sexist comments during their time on I’m A Celebrity: All Stars. The Pussycat Dolls star, speaking on Capital FM’s Breakfast Show, said she knew Haye from their 2012 stint but was still shocked by his outbursts this time around.
Roberts admitted her facial expressions said more than her words, but also noted Haye showed a nurturing side at times. She told hosts: 'I don't remember being quite as shocked as I was this time about the stuff coming out of his mouth... he used some outrageous language.'
Haye sparked fury with remarks about 'ugly women' and claimed 'most super pretty girls are just idiots'. Scarlett Moffatt was among those left flabbergasted in camp, telling him: 'You can't say that.'
Haye doubled down, describing the 'Ugly Duckling syndrome' where less attractive girls develop better personalities. He said: 'They've got to work a bit harder, be more personable... they're nicer to everyone.'
