Adam Peaty's Mother Sends Four-Word Message Ahead of His Wedding to Holly Ramsay
Adam Peaty's mum shares message before his wedding

Olympic champion Adam Peaty is set to marry television chef Holly Ramsay today in a ceremony at the historic Bath Abbey, but the event will proceed without most of his family present. In a poignant development hours before the vows, his mother Caroline Peaty has shared a heartfelt four-word message for her son, despite being uninvited to the wedding.

A Mother's Heartfelt Plea Amidst Family Estrangement

Caroline Peaty, who is heartbroken over the ongoing rift, has decided against gatecrashing the ceremony, stating it would be "too upsetting" for her to attend. She revealed to MailOnline that she had a gift planned for the couple which she will now be unable to present in person. The family fallout has led to the dramatic removal of almost all of Adam's relatives from the guest list, including his elderly aunt and uncle. Only his sister, Bethany, is expected to be present from his immediate family.

Speaking about her son's big day, Caroline expressed a mother's enduring love and a desire for his happiness. "As a mother, all you want your children to do is be happy in their relationships," she said. "I've not done this to ruin their wedding. It's their wedding, yes, it's a happy day - but it needs to be said."

"Stand By Each Other": The Message for the Big Day

Despite the pain of exclusion, Caroline insists there is nothing she won't forgive. Her central message to Adam as he prepares to say 'I do' is a simple, powerful directive: "stand by each other." She elaborated, "They are both still loved, there is nothing I won't forgive, and I want them to have the best day. And what I want to say to Adam is stand by each other. But just because you love somebody and that love is intense, don't forget the other people around you."

Caroline emphasised her belief that "family should have been the priority at that wedding," highlighting the deep sadness surrounding the situation. The couple, however, have been determined to ensure their day is not overshadowed, with reports suggesting they drafted in round-the-clock security to maintain privacy and prevent public photography.

A Determined Couple Focus on Their Future

A source close to Peaty and Ramsay told The Sun that the planning has been meticulous and the couple are focused on joy. "Holly and Adam have been meticulous in planning and it’s come together perfectly. They can’t wait to share everything with their guests," the source said. "It’s sad for everyone involved that Adam’s parents and family members won’t be there but Adam and Holly are determined to have the best day of their lives and do not want it overshadowed."

As the ceremony at Bath Abbey on 27th December 2025 approaches, the day will undoubtedly be filled with mixed emotions for the three-time Olympic gold medallist. While he and Holly Ramsay, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, look forward to beginning their married life, the absence of his family casts a poignant shadow, underscored by his mother's public message of love and forgiveness from afar.
