Abbie Chatfield's boyfriend Adam Hyde left fans doing a double take this week after sharing a bizarre video of himself passionately making out with… himself.
The Australian musician, who goes by the stage name Keli Holiday, took to Instagram to post the eyebrow-raising clip, which showed him standing in front of a mirrored sculpture installation while leaning in for what looked like an intimate pash with his own reflection.
In the surreal footage, Adam, sporting his signature curly mullet, moustache and a fitted black T-shirt paired with dark jeans, appeared completely engrossed in the unusual display as he pressed his face against the reflective artwork.
At one point, the performer cheekily stuck out his tongue toward his mirrored image, turning the artistic moment into a playful yet undeniably strange social media stunt. He captioned the post: 'Why flick when you can lick?'
The provocative upload quickly sparked reactions from followers, including his girlfriend, Abbie, who jokingly commented: 'Baby this feels like cheating.'
Fans were both amused and bewildered by the post, with many flooding the comments section over the unconventional display. 'This made me dry retch,' wrote one person, while another said, 'Get the antiseptic wipes out. Yuck.'
'And he wonders why he gets picked on,' one more quipped, with someone else adding, 'I know you miss Abbie mate, hold it together buddy.' Others were amused, with someone writing, 'OMG this is so dirty, love it hahaha.' Another commented: 'I had a chuckle seeing this earlier today,' while one more said, 'Okay, see you in the hospital.'
The video appeared to be filmed at an outdoor art installation featuring polished mirrored surfaces, creating the illusion Adam was locking lips with his own doppelganger. Known for pushing boundaries both musically and online, Adam has built a reputation for his eccentric style and tongue-in-cheek humour.
Hyde recently surprised fans with a candid confession, revealing he often struggles with loneliness. The Australian singer, 35, shared a clip to social media on Monday showing him swimming in a local creek. Over the footage, accompanied by the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? theme music, text appeared in which Adam joked about different coping strategies for dealing with his emotions.
'My life is crying out for human connection and joy. Should I A) Join a run club and go to a coffee shop rave B) Crash out and then text my ex at 4am,' Adam began. 'C) Simultaneously doom-scroll and vape continuously for 12 hours D) Dance with strangers in a dark room filled with love (at a Keli Holiday show). Take your pick.'
Fans quickly flooded the comments section, with many joking the answer was obvious — attending one of his shows. 'Clearly the D is where it's at,' one person wrote, and a second added: 'D sounds reasonable.'
