Molly-Mae's sister Zoe fumes over rude nail salon customers

Molly-Mae Hague's older sister, Zoe, has been left furious over what she describes as a "rude" everyday habit she believes needs to stop. The 30-year-old took to social media to share her frustration, saying she always thought we lived "in a really polite society" — until a recent trip to the salon proved otherwise.

Fresh from getting a "short, milky white" manicure, Zoe ranted about the lack of basic manners she witnessed from fellow customers.

Rant over salon manners

"It turns out we don't [live in a polite society]. I have just come out of the nail shop... I'm not joking, every single time I've been into a nail shop recently, there is always minimum one person in there that is rude," she vented.

The influencer said she couldn't understand why people feel they have the "right to be so rude, so mannerless, and so nitpicky" over a set of acrylics.

"It's not that deep," she insisted. "It's your nails, it's a colour, you can change it whenever you want. I get we're paying for a service, and you want the service to be right, but my god, it doesn't mean you have to be rude."

Demanding customers and a friendlier approach

Zoe recalled hearing demanding customers barking phrases like "that's not right," "that's not what I asked for," and "I was next in line."

Instead, she suggested a friendlier approach: "What about, 'I'm so sorry, I think I was in the queue before you?' or 'I'm so sorry, do you mind if we look at another colour?' Is that not how everyone talks? Because that's how I talk."

The tension in the salon left Zoe with her "blood boiling." She confessed she was close to turning around at the door after paying to tell the other customers: "You're all rude. You're all so rude. You need to go back to basics and learn some manners."

Sisterly support and fan reactions

To save her sanity in the future, she joked she will have to start wearing headphones to block out the eavesdropping.

Zoe isn't alone in her frustration. Her sister Molly-Mae jumped into the comments to back her up, writing: "Glad someone said it!!!"

Fans also shared their own second-hand embarrassment. One follower blamed the pandemic, writing: "It's Covid, it's changed basic manners, it's wild." Another noted: "As my mum would always tell me and I tell my children all the time, manners don't cost anything." One viewer joked they are so polite they say "thank you" every time the nail tech moves their hand.
