Katie Price Removed from Reality TV Awards Shortlist After Backlash
Katie Price Axed from Reality TV Awards Over Backlash

Katie Price has been removed from a list of reality TV stars set to be honoured at the National Reality Television Awards after the organisation received a significant volume of public feedback.

Backlash Leads to Removal

Katie Price, known for her appearances in various reality TV shows and an upcoming tell-all documentary with Sky, was initially included on the public shortlist of celebrities to be honoured at the 2026 National Reality Television Awards. However, following intense backlash, the list was revised and her name was removed.

Now in its landmark 15th year, the 2026 NRTAs recognise the best in reality, entertainment, documentary and unscripted television from the UK and internationally, covering content aired between 1 July 2025 and 7 June 2026.

Other Honourees

For their 15th anniversary, the Awards decided to honour the most influential figures of reality TV for their outstanding contribution. Others on the list included Sharon Osbourne, Paris Hilton, Davina McCall and Gordon Ramsay.

A spokesperson for the Awards explained: Following the announcement, the Academy received a significant volume of public feedback and submissions regarding a number of names under consideration. As a result, the final list has now been reviewed and updated, and Katie Price is no longer being considered as a recipient of the honour this year.

They added that this was a normal part of the review process between the initial shortlist and final selections. This year's nominations span 26 categories, with hit programmes including The Traitors, Love Island, Big Brother and Clarkson's Farm also nominated.

Upcoming Documentary

Katie's removal comes just weeks before the release of her upcoming documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, airing on Sky from 8 July. Sky has described the four-part series as a candid and unfiltered account of her three decades in the public eye.

In the documentary, her stepdad Paul Price commented on her relationships, saying she has always got to have a man. Katie agreed, stating she has always been vulnerable and needy, and that she looks for in men what was probably missing from her real dad.

Katie is currently in a relationship with Lee Andrews, whom she married in January 2026 just 10 days after meeting him. Recent drama unfolded when Lee disappeared in May, with Katie claiming he was found in a Dubai prison. He re-emerged earlier this week, thanking Katie for making noise that led to his release.
