Halle Berry turns 60 on August 14, and despite her jaw-dropping red carpet appearances, bikini snaps, and impossibly toned physique, the Oscar-winning actress has spent more than three decades in the spotlight looking as incredible as when she first shot to Hollywood stardom.
From her iconic orange bikini moment as Bond girl Jinx in Die Another Day to her show-stopping appearances at the Academy Awards, Berry has never been afraid to turn heads. Her fashion choices have become no less daring with age. At the 2025 Met Gala, she showcased her curves in a plunging, sheer-bottomed gown, and the same year she commanded attention in a dazzling embellished gown at Cannes.
A Serious Approach to Fitness
Behind the glamorous gowns and bikini pictures is a serious fitness regimen. Berry has previously revealed she worked out with trainer Peter Lee Thomas four times a week, though she doesn't believe you need to spend hours in the gym to see results. Writing for Women's Health, she said: "A 20-minute workout can totally knock you on your butt."
She explained that her shorter sessions often involve circuits of five or six exercises, with bodyweight moves and equipment such as ankle weights, admitting the sessions can be "fast and dirty." As she approached 60, Berry changed things up again.
Switching to Weight Training
In 2025, she revealed she had swapped much of her previous cardio routine for weight training to build muscle. She said: "I used to do a lot of cardio. Right now, I’m trying to put muscle mass on, so I lift weights now." She added that she was lifting heavier weights than ever before, at least twice a week.
Berry has also insisted her workouts aren't simply about achieving a six-pack. She explained: "Actually, my average workout these days doesn't involve a single situp or crunch."
Defying Age in Hollywood
As she enters her sixth decade, Berry's ever-changing fitness regime proves she isn't trying to stop the clock but is determined to feel strong, healthy, and confident at every age. She looks just as good now as she did in 2004 when she squeezed into the iconic Catwoman suit.
Speaking about the milestone age, Berry said she won't make herself smaller in Hollywood as she ages. She told The Cut: "You get to this age where you feel like you’re being marginalized, devalued. You feel it at work. You feel it from society. But I have adamantly decided I am not going to allow myself to be erased. That’s why I’m on my menopause mission. I’m going to be louder than I have ever been."
