Oasis fans have had their first chance to secure tickets for the band’s 2027 tour this morning, and many have reported a smooth process so far.
Following the announcement earlier this month, Liam and Noel Gallagher will embark on a 42-date tour across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the United States between May and September next year.
The tour kicks off in Glasgow on May 21 and includes stops in Rome, Amsterdam, Munich, Las Vegas and Paris, concluding with six shows at Knebworth. The band last played the Stevenage park in 1996.
Ballot system and fan reactions
The first allocation of tickets went on sale this morning via Ticketmaster as part of a ballot system designed to make the process fairer and smoother for fans. Between today and Sunday, there will be nine allocated window opportunities for fans with a unique code to try and buy tickets.
Despite a few initial reports of an ‘unusual behaviour’ message on-screen, many fans have taken to social media to report how easy the process has been, with some saying they purchased tickets within minutes and avoided lengthy queues.
Posting on Reddit, one fan said: “Very easy for Manchester - one browser open for several dates, was 41 in one queue and almost immediately in another. Tuesday shows were fastest, not surprising.”
Another said: “I got a ticket for Manchester, june 22nd!!! 250 people ahead of me in the queue, took me less than two minutes. I ended up getting one of those super expensive seats though, I didn’t really register the cost before I’d checked out.”
One other posted: “2 Tickets for Slane Castle! Started as number 300 in the queue and had the tickets one minute later. First time in Ireland too! Cant wait. Just 345 days to go…” Another simply said: “x2 for Manchester, smoothest queue ever.”
UK shows and resale warnings
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, fans will have three opportunities each day to get tickets for the UK shows, including the 11 dates at the Etihad Stadium, at 9am, 1pm and 5pm. These will only be open to those who successfully received a code via Ticketmaster.
Fans have been advised that they may not receive their code until Sunday itself, so people have been told to keep an eye on their inbox for a message to appear.
Despite warnings about resales, some tickets for the 2027 tour have already begun appearing on resale sites. On Viagogo, two sets of tickets for the Friday, June 4 show in Manchester were available for nearly £3,000 each. Ticketmaster has said tickets will only be able to be resold on its own site, as well as Twickets in the UK, at a later date and that prices must remain at what they were originally bought for.
