A research team claiming to have “100% confirmed” the resting place of Noah’s Ark has released what it calls a “first look” inside the underground structure believed to sit beneath eastern Turkey. The update was posted by Noah’s Ark Scans (@noahsarkscans), an independent biblical archaeology and research group led by American researcher Andrew Jones, and shows fieldwork at the Durupınar formation — a boat-shaped site that has fuelled Ark speculation for decades.
Gopher Robot Deployed Down 18-Metre Borehole
In the new video, researchers drill and lower a custom-built miniature subterranean robot, nicknamed “Gopher”, down into newly made core holes in an attempt to reach what the team describes as mapped voids beneath the ground. The group says the robot was deployed into an 18-metre borehole to capture visual evidence of underground cavities. The caption posted alongside the reel reads: “FIRST LOOK: footage from inside Noah’s Ark”.
It continues: “Gopher drone was sent down into the core drilling holes in an attempt to reach the mapped voids.” But the dramatic underground mission appears to hit some issues at first, with the footage showing the little rover struggling to move around once it reaches the loose structure below.
Team Insists Footage Backs Up Radar Scans
The team explained: “Gopher needs some modifications in order to look around, as his wheels had trouble moving on the very loose sediment on the ground.” Despite the difficulties, Noah’s Ark Scans insists the attempt backs up what it says earlier scans already suggested — and finishes its caption with a striking claim: “As radar scans accurately told us, No rock or bedrock found.”
This comes after other recent reports claiming the remains of Noah's Ark have supposedly been confirmed and found, after remaining a mystery for hundreds of thousands of years. Experts say they have found a mysterious boat-shaped formation that some researchers believe could be the remains of Noah's Ark high in the mountains in Turkey, the Daily Star previously reported.
Man-Made Object Claim Near Mount Ararat
According to the Bible, the massive vessel saved humanity and every kind of animal from annihilation during a catastrophic flood that some biblical chronologies place more than 4,300 years ago. Now experts believe that they have "100% confirmed" the find. They believe the mound is not a natural geological feature but instead a "man-made object" which has been located in Durupınar Formation near Mount Ararat.
They used laser technology and radar surveys to look into the area and say they found structural layers, straight lines, right-angle intersections and large cavity-like spaces at multiple depths which suggest something man made had once laid there.
