Pete Wicks has revealed he has made a major decision to quit alcohol and sugar after making a pact with his girlfriend Olivia Attwood - but he's not planning a huge transformation.
After months of rumours that podcast host Pete was in a relationship with former Love Island star Olivia following her split from her footballer husband, Bradley Dack, earlier this year, they officially confirmed they were an item in July. It was Pete who confirmed the news by sharing a number of photos from their time in Ibiza on Instagram in July. "I guess someone has to go first…IBIZA [black heart emoji]," he captioned the post, which featured pictures of him and Olivia lying together on a yacht, before another showed Olivia lying in Pete's lap as he kissed the top of her head.
Couple more open about relationship
The couple have now been a bit more open about their relationship, and last month, it was Pete again who shared photos from their trip to the beach with their beloved dogs. He posted a string of pictures of their sweet animals on Instagram, feeling the sand on their paws and running by the sea.
But it was during the latest episode of Pete's podcast, Staying Relevant, that he hosts with his best mate Sam Thompson, that the presenter and reality star revealed he's made a new health decision. Sam shared that Olivia had messaged Pete when he shared a picture of himself drinking a Caprisun, as she had zoomed in to check it was sugar-free. "That girl has got you under her sights, mate," Sam said.
Pact revealed
But Pete admitted: "So we’ve got a pact," before he explained that both he and Olivia were avoiding sugar and mostly steering clear of alcohol. He said: "And we’re not doing sugar and we’re not doing alcohol really until we kind of go away unless there is a reason to break the pact," before he explained how he’s got a sweet tooth and often eats too much sugar, sweets and chocolate usually, but noted how he is drinking so much water and peeing more than ever.
"Well, this is something new for me… I’m not a hydrated person as you all know," Pete said. "Now, I’m uh smashing through three litres of water a day. I am at the age now where I have to p*ss every 15 minutes. I would go to the toilet like for a p*ss maybe twice a day previously. I’m now going I would say 10 to 12 times a day."
No big transformation planned
Sam then told Pete: "You’re on your health journey, Pete." But Pete commented: "I think people have misinterpreted the fact that I’ve just stopped sugar and I’m not heavily drinking anymore. With the fact that I’m not going to start pumping iron. I’m not. I’m not doing that as of yet."
