Sharon Osbourne was moved to tears at the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as the ceremony paid tribute to her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, six months after his death. The emotional moment came when British rocker Yungblud won Best Rock Performance for his cover of Changes, recorded during Black Sabbath’s final concert at Villa Park in Birmingham last year.
Accepting the award, Yungblud delivered a heartfelt speech about his hero. “To grow up loving an idol, who helps you figure out your identity, not only as a musician, but also a man, is something I’m really grateful for,” he said. “But to then get to know them and honour them at their final show and receive this is something I am struggling to comprehend. We f***ing love you Ozzy.”
As Sharon watched from the audience, visibly overwhelmed, Yungblud added: “The last time I saw Ozzy Osbourne, he asked me if there was anything he could do for me, and that the ‘music was enough’.” He closed with: “God bless Ozzy Osbourne and god bless f***ing rock music!”
The Black Sabbath frontman died aged 76 in July 2025 at his Buckinghamshire home. After the win, Sharon shared a clip of the speech on Instagram, writing: “My heart is bursting with pride and gratitude.” Fans flooded the comments with messages of support, calling it the “most emotional award of the night.”
The tribute continued during the main broadcast, as the Osbourne family—Sharon alongside children Kelly and Jack—broke down in the audience during the In Memoriam segment. A powerful performance of War Pigs by Post Malone and an all-star rock line-up accompanied the tribute. Speaking on the red carpet, Kelly said: “It means more than I can express into words. To see his peers and this community cherish him in such a way… It’ll be very emotional.”
