Fritz's Ex Earned More During Grand Slam Run

Taylor Fritz, the No. 6 seed at Wimbledon, advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Alexander Bublik. However, his off-court life has drawn attention: his ex-girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, reportedly earned more than him during his Australian Open run earlier this year.

Riddle's Earnings Surpassed Fritz's Prize Money

According to German outlet Bild, Riddle made £251,000 through influencer work during the Australian Open, while Fritz earned £240,000 for reaching the round of 16. Riddle, a social media influencer, often documented life on tour with Fritz. She told Bild, “It’s almost a competition between us at Grand Slams and other tournaments to see who earns more money during the tournament. He’s always encouraged and supported me. That’s how we became a dual-income household.”

Amicable Split After Six Years

Fritz and Riddle ended their six-year relationship earlier this year. Riddle confirmed the breakup on Instagram with a light-hearted post wearing a “World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend” t-shirt. In an interview with Elle in June, she said, “When public relationships end, it’s standard to do some sort of Instagram statement or video, and I tried to write that a few times and I was just like, ‘This is not me.’ We’re on good terms, so I wanted to make it more light-hearted than breakups usually are online.” She also stated, “I’ll never date an athlete again.”

Fritz's Wimbledon Prize Money

Fritz has already secured at least £480,000 as a quarter-finalist at Wimbledon. Reaching the semi-finals would net him £900,000, and the finalists receive seven-figure paydays. After his fourth-round win over Bublik, Fritz said he might watch the match between Alexander Zverev and Jiri Lehecka to prepare, noting, “I like to watch through a different lens, though, once I know who I'm playing, because then I can be more specific about what I'm paying attention to.”
