Coronation Street star Vinta Morgan has teased that 'something's about to go down' as his Weatherfield alter-ego Ronnie Bailey looks set to join forces with an unlikely ally in the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford.
New spoilers for next week's episodes have revealed that Ronnie will get himself in some bother. According to the released information, Ronnie offers to handle their supplier meeting, but as his wife, Debbie Webster, prepares to leave, he gently reminds her to put on her shoes. Once at the Chariot Square hotel, Ronnie points out she's still wearing her slippers, and a confused Debbie stares at her feet and suggests it's time they went home.
Ronnie's Plan to Steal Idris's Car
Later, Ronnie eyes up Idris Nazir's car and explains to Carl Webster, his son-in-law, that he's thinking of stealing it for Fiona, as he owes her for the missing gun that Carl acquired and waved around at his uncle, Kevin Webster, a couple of months ago.
Soon, in the Rovers, Carl hands Ronnie the key to Idris's car, having stolen it from his jacket. Later, Idris reports his car stolen, admitting he can't remember where he left his key. But it's not long before Idris accuses Ronnie of stealing his car and punches him to the floor.
Carl Urges Ronnie to Avoid Revenge
Carl, despite his own history of not making things easy for his mum, who he thought was his half-sister until the truth was revealed earlier this year, implores Ronnie not to go looking for revenge, as Debbie needs to be calm.
Sharing a picture of a shifty-looking Ronnie and Carl on Instagram, Vinta teased his followers: "Bad Boys 4, Lethal Weapon 4. Perhaps a Corrie spin off… with an original title of course. The look of these two gents looks like something is about to go down! The heat is on the street. For real."

Junade Khan, who joined Corrie back in May in the role of Idris, was among those to respond, writing: "Well dodge [heart emoji]. Looking good guys."
Debbie's Meltdown
It does seem that Carl is right, as according to the Corrie spoilers, when Ryan Connor gets a manicure from Bethany in the salon, Debbie breezes in, and it becomes clear she's reliving her hairdressing past. Maria Windass returns to the salon to find Debbie giving Bethany a full eighties makeover, and while Bethany plays along, when Debbie picks up the scissors, Maria comes to her rescue.
As Debbie looks at the scissors in confusion, she rushes out. Finding Ronnie drinking in the hotel bar, Debbie gives him short shrift before suffering a meltdown.
