Country pop star Shania Twain has been announced as the headliner for Glasgow Summer Sessions, returning to Scotland next summer for her first Scottish performance in nearly three years.
The five-time Grammy winner is set to play Bellahouston Park on June 17 as part of a series of outdoor shows across the UK and Ireland in 2027. Glasgow is the second stop on the tour and will mark Twain's first appearance on Scottish soil since her Stirling City Park gig in July 2024.
Tickets and Presales
Tickets for the Bellahouston Park gig go on general sale this Friday, November 6, at 9am. Several presales will take place in the coming days ahead of general sale on o2 Priority, Live Nation, Gigs in Scotland and Ticketmaster.
Twain is the second act announced for the annual Summer Sessions event, following American singer Sombr, who will headline the Saturday show on June 19.
Tour and Album Milestones
The Canadian star, 61, is best known for global hits such as Man! I Feel Like a Woman and That Don't Impress Me Much. The tour announcement, which will see her visit Scarborough, Chelmsford, Cardiff, Exeter, Dublin, Belfast and Oxfordshire, comes as Twain prepares to mark the 30th anniversary of Come On Over and the 25th anniversary of Up! - two of her defining albums.
It also follows the release of Little Miss Twain – The Places I'll Go, the deluxe edition of her acclaimed seventh studio album, Little Miss Twain. Anyone who purchased the album or would like to buy a copy from her official store will be able to access artist presale from 9am on Wednesday, November 4.
Personal Record and Collaborations
The deeply personal record saw Twain look back over more than three decades in the music industry, revisiting the experiences, sounds and memories that shaped her before she became a global icon. The album is inspired by her childhood and teenage years in Canada, tracing the roots of her country, pop, rock, soul and bluegrass sound.
The album also features several collaborations, including tracks with Tanya Tucker, T Bone Burnett, Ronnie Wood and Toto's David Paich.
Twain announced the upcoming tour on Instagram this morning, writing: "The Places I'll Go Tour is coming to the UK & Ireland next June! Help me build the songbook? I want to play your favourite songs from any time in my musical journey."
"It's big anniversaries for Up! And Come On Over next year too, there are a lot of memories to squeeze into one show. I would like to play some golden oldies and some new things too."
