Teacher Accused of Grooming Student Spotted Shopping Amid Brother's Baywatch Fame

Haley Beck, a high school teacher whose brother Noah Beck has been cast in the Baywatch reboot, was seen shopping casually at a TJ Maxx in Arizona. This sighting comes approximately one week after police announced they had resubmitted charges to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office against Beck and another former teacher from Centennial High School in Peoria, located about fourteen miles northwest of Phoenix.

The charges stem from allegations that Beck, aged twenty-seven, and Angela Burlaka, aged forty-seven, engaged in sexual misconduct with the same teenage male student. Both educators were placed on administrative leave by the Peoria Unified School District in August 2025 following the accusations.

Detailed Allegations and Police Findings

According to police reports, Haley Beck allegedly began grooming the minor in December 2024, with the misconduct continuing throughout his sophomore and junior years of high school. During this period, the student was enrolled in her psychology and sociology courses respectively.

The nearly two-hundred-page police report outlines that Beck, who started working at the school in 2020, purchased gifts, food, drugs, and alcohol for the student. She also paid him more than six hundred dollars and granted him access to her personal vehicle.

Furthermore, Beck is accused of helping to improve the student's grades and attendance records, while providing him with preferential treatment in classroom settings. In one particularly damning text message exchange, Beck referred to herself as the boy's 'sugar momma', writing that 'it felt like straight prostitution'.

Police investigators revealed that Beck and the student exchanged approximately four thousand text messages discussing topics including oral sex, drugs, and alcohol. Meanwhile, Angela Burlaka was accused of recording nude videos of herself that were discovered on the student's mobile phone. In these videos, the married teacher was reportedly heard saying the student's name.

Investigation Origins and Family Dynamics

The investigation began in July after the student's grandmother discovered the explicit videos on his phone and contacted authorities. Interestingly, the student's parents initially resisted cooperating with the investigation, fearing it might negatively impact potential athletic scholarships for college.

Despite this reluctance, the boy's mother informed authorities that she was aware her son was 'having sex with a teacher named "Haley Beck"'. Detectives also found a note in Beck's apartment that served as what they described as a tacit admission of the inappropriate relationship.

The handwritten message stated: 'For this "relationship" being extremely wrong, I feel like we have really made the most out of it. There is truly no other student (I know, so wrong) that I'd want to do all this with.'

School Response and Legal Proceedings

Centennial High School Principal Scott Hollabaugh provided police with Beck's name after the investigation into Burlaka commenced. He reported having received 'multiple complaints from students and staff' concerning Beck's behavior.

Following the investigation, Burlaka voluntarily surrendered her Arizona teaching certificates, while Beck did not take similar action. The Peoria Unified School District issued a statement emphasizing that they take 'all allegations involving student safety extremely seriously'.

The district explained that initially, the available information 'did not meet the legal threshold for reasonable suspicion of abuse, nor was there corroborating evidence to support such a determination'. However, during a governing board meeting on March 26, the district unanimously voted to terminate Haley Beck's employment.

Legal Recommendations and Defense

Police have recommended that Maricopa County prosecutors charge Beck with inducing prostitution and Burlaka with aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation. As of this week, prosecutors continue to review these recommendations to determine whether formal charges should be filed.

Beck's attorney, Matthew Long, issued a statement asserting his client's innocence: 'Ms. Beck respects the criminal justice process and looks forward to the conclusion of the investigation, which will reveal she committed no crimes. Like any individual subject to investigation, Ms. Beck is entitled to due process. We are confident that a complete review of the facts will confirm her innocence.'

Family Background and Celebrity Connection

Haley Beck grew up in Peoria with her siblings Noah and Tatum Beck, and their parents Amy and Tim Beck. Her brother Noah Beck gained significant social media fame beginning in 2020 through dance videos and comedic skits, amassing 7.7 million Instagram followers and 33 million TikTok followers.

Noah Beck previously had a public relationship with fellow influencer Dixie D'Amelio before their split in 2022. He is now set to appear in the Baywatch television reboot on Fox alongside Livvy Dunne and Yellowstone actress Hassie Harrison, adding a layer of celebrity intrigue to his sister's legal troubles.

The case continues to develop as prosecutors deliberate on whether to bring formal charges against both former teachers, while the school district maintains its commitment to student safety amidst the ongoing investigation.
