Teacher Accused of Grooming Student Spotted Shopping Amid Brother's Baywatch Fame

This sighting comes approximately one week after police announced they had resubmitted charges to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office against Beck and another former teacher from Centennial High School in Peoria, located about fourteen miles northwest of Phoenix.
The charges stem from allegations that Beck, aged twenty-seven, and Angela Burlaka, aged forty-seven, engaged in sexual misconduct with the same teenage male student. Both educators were placed on administrative leave by the Peoria Unified School District in August 2025 following the accusations.

According to police reports, Haley Beck allegedly began grooming the minor in December 2024, with the misconduct continuing throughout his sophomore and junior years of high school. During this period, the student was enrolled in her psychology and sociology courses respectively.
The nearly two-hundred-page police report outlines that Beck, who started working at the school in 2020, purchased gifts, food, drugs, and alcohol for the student. She also paid him more than six hundred dollars and granted him access to her personal vehicle.
Furthermore, Beck is accused of helping to improve the student's grades and attendance records, while providing him with preferential treatment in classroom settings. In one particularly damning text message exchange, Beck referred to herself as the boy's 'sugar momma', writing that 'it felt like straight prostitution'.
Police investigators revealed that Beck and the student exchanged approximately four thousand text messages discussing topics including oral sex, drugs, and alcohol. Meanwhile, Angela Burlaka was accused of recording nude videos of herself that were discovered on the student's mobile phone. In these videos, the married teacher was reportedly heard saying the student's name.

The investigation began in July after the student's grandmother discovered the explicit videos on his phone and contacted authorities. Interestingly, the student's parents initially resisted cooperating with the investigation, fearing it might negatively impact potential athletic scholarships for college.

However, during a governing board meeting on March 26, the district unanimously voted to terminate Haley Beck's employment.
