A major police investigation has been launched following a tragic and mysterious crash on the M62 motorway that claimed the lives of a man and a 12-year-old schoolboy.
Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway between junctions 24 and 25 near Huddersfield at approximately 21:45 GMT on Tuesday night. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
