UEFA Warns Arsenal Fans Over £15,000 Final Costs

Arsenal fans face a staggering £15,000 bill to attend the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30, with ticket resale sites offering seats at £6,160 and budget airline one-way flights exceeding £3,000. Hotel prices in Budapest for the weekend have reached £2,500 per night, pushing total travel costs to around £15,000.

UEFA has urged fans not to buy from unauthorised resale sites, warning that tickets obtained in breach of terms will be invalid and holders may be refused entry. Arsenal season ticket holders can enter a ballot for the official allocation of 16,824 tickets, priced between £60 and £800.

UEFA is introducing additional measures to combat unauthorised resale, including a non-transferable digital ticket system via the UEFA Mobile Tickets app. Successful applicants must register their mobile phone and use it to access the stadium; tickets cannot be transferred. Fans unable to attend may resell at face value through the official UEFA resale platform.

The Arsenal Supporters’ Trust criticised the small allocation of 17,000 tickets, calling for UEFA to better respect fans. They welcomed the club’s decision to hold a home screening at the Emirates, with up to 35,000 fans expected at a fair entry price.
