In a shocking act of animal cruelty that has horrified the nation, a six-month-old puppy was thrown from a moving car in Birmingham, leaving the defenceless animal fighting for survival.
The heartless incident occurred on Thursday, February 15th, around 1:30 pm on Washwood Heath Road, where witnesses watched in horror as the black and white Staffordshire bull terrier type was deliberately ejected from a moving vehicle.
Miraculous Survival Against All Odds
Despite suffering significant injuries from the impact, including damage to his leg and jaw, the brave puppy managed to drag himself to a nearby bus stop where he collapsed. A compassionate member of the public discovered the trembling animal and immediately contacted the RSPCA.
RSPCA inspector Nicky Foster, who is leading the investigation, expressed her outrage: "This was a truly horrific and deliberate act of cruelty. To throw any animal from a moving vehicle is unthinkable, but to do this to a young, defenceless puppy is absolutely sickening."
Road to Recovery
The puppy, now named Snoop by his rescuers, was rushed to a veterinary hospital where he received emergency treatment for his injuries. Despite the trauma he endured, veterinary staff report that Snoop is showing remarkable resilience and a surprisingly trusting nature towards humans.
"He's such a friendly boy despite what he's been through," Inspector Foster noted. "He's been wagging his tail and giving kisses to the staff caring for him. His forgiving nature makes what happened to him even more heartbreaking."
Appeal for Information
The RSPCA has launched a public appeal for information to identify the vehicle and driver responsible. Witnesses described the car as a light-coloured saloon, possibly silver or grey, though specific details remain limited.
"We're urging anyone who was in the Washwood Heath Road area around 1:30 pm on February 15th to come forward," Inspector Foster pleaded. "If you have any information, no matter how small it may seem, or if you have dashcam footage that could help our investigation, please contact us immediately."
Searching for a Forever Home
Once Snoop has fully recovered from his physical and emotional trauma, the RSPCA will begin searching for a permanent, loving home for the courageous puppy.
"Snoop deserves to know what it's like to be truly loved and cared for," Inspector Foster added. "We're determined to find him the perfect family who can give him the happy life he should have always had."
