Missing teen in 'imminent danger' after Christmas Eve disappearance

Police in Texas have issued an urgent appeal for information regarding a 19-year-old woman who vanished during a morning walk on Christmas Eve and is now believed to be in "imminent danger."

New dashcam footage offers potential clue

Camila "Cami" Mendoza Olmos was last seen leaving her family home in the 11000 block of Caspian Spring in San Antonio shortly before 7am on Wednesday, 24 December 2025. She was dressed for her usual early morning stroll, wearing a sky blue and black hoodie, pale blue pyjama bottoms, and white shoes.

In a significant development, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office has released dashcam video captured by a passing driver on Wildhorse Parkway around 7:00 a.m. that same morning. The footage shows an individual walking northbound between Shetland Wind and Caspian Spring.

Sheriff Javier Salazar stated that the clothing worn by the person in the video "certainly does match up with what she was wearing" at the time of her disappearance. Camila's vehicle was left at the residence, and she is thought to have only her car keys and possibly her driver's licence with her.

Family's desperate plea for safe return

Camila's distraught family spent Christmas Day searching the local area but found no trace of the teenager. Her father, Alfonso Mendoza, made an emotional public appeal, directly addressing his missing daughter.

"She's out there watching this, seeing me," he told CBS. "I miss her, come home. It's hard. It hurts. I might sound strong ... but it hurts."

Her aunt, Nancy Olmos, described Camila as a "sweet angel" who had recently been baptised and loves God deeply. In an online plea, she begged the public to continue sharing information and to pray for Camila's safe return.

Police exploring all possibilities

Authorities are treating the disappearance with extreme seriousness. Sheriff Salazar confirmed that investigators are considering a wide range of scenarios. "We've got to consider all possibilities from disappearing wilfully to the possibility of self-harm, to somebody may have taken her," he said at a press conference.

Camila is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward immediately.
