A significant murder investigation has been initiated by the Metropolitan Police after a 71-year-old woman was discovered deceased with severe injuries inside a residential property in Hounslow, London. The victim, who has not yet been formally identified publicly, was found on Sunday, March 1, and despite immediate medical intervention, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services were summoned to Bath Road in Hounslow shortly after 10:00 hours on Sunday following reports of a seriously injured woman. Officers from the Metropolitan Police arrived alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. Upon entry to the address, they encountered the elderly victim with what authorities have described as significant traumatic injuries. All attempts to save her life proved unsuccessful, and she was declared deceased at the location.
The victim's next of kin have been notified of her death and are currently receiving support from specially trained family liaison officers.
