A tragic house fire in Kent has claimed the life of a child, with a second youngster rushed to hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred on Sunday 28 December 2025 at a property on White Admiral Way in the village of Hamstreet, Ashford. Kent Fire and Rescue Service reported receiving the call shortly after 12.10pm and faced what they described as an "intense fire" that had already spread throughout the semi-detached home upon their arrival.
