Discovery of the Body and Timeline of Events
The victim was found in the early hours of Thursday, April 9, in the back garden of a property on Cleve Road in Filton, near the A38. Detectives believe the attack occurred on the evening of Wednesday, April 8, with the man collapsing and dying at the scene along an alleyway running behind the homes.
This discovery prompted a full-scale murder investigation, involving extensive police resources and specialist officers.

Specially-trained officers are continuing to provide them with support and updates on our ongoing investigation."

DCI Edgeworth added, "Out of respect to his family, we would ask people not to speculate on the man's identity, or the wider circumstances around his death. They are continuing to privately grieve at this time, and we would ask that their privacy is respected."
The victim's family has been notified, and the formal identification process is still pending. This tragic incident highlights ongoing concerns about knife crime in Bristol, with the unnamed victim becoming the latest casualty in the city's crisis.
