Behind the Scenes of Paddington's Success
Paddington The Musical, currently staged at London's Savoy Theatre, features music by McFly star Tom Fletcher and a book by playwright Jessica Swale. The production follows the adventures of the marmalade-loving bear from Peru, brought to life through a lifelike puppet. In addition to its acting awards, it won for Best Costume Design, Best Set Design, and the Sir Peter Hall Award for Best Director.
Speaking to the Press Association before the ceremony, Swale expressed her joy, describing the collaboration with Fletcher as "really fun" and noting the privilege of working with such a special character. "It's just been so fun. We've had the greatest adventure," she said, reflecting on the creative process behind the smash-hit musical.
