Daring Dawn Rescue Saves Teen From Skyscraper Crane
Fire and rescue teams in Jerusalem successfully saved a 15-year-old boy who spent seven terrifying hours trapped on a crane suspended 36 stories above the city streets.
The dramatic operation unfolded on Monday 24th November 2025 after emergency services were alerted to the precarious situation during the morning hours.
Midnight Climb For A View Turns Perilous
According to Israel's Fire and Rescue Service, the teenage boy explained that he had initially climbed the massive construction crane around midnight, motivated by a simple desire to "see the view" from the extraordinary height.
Videos captured during the incident showed the youth stranded on a tiny platform connecting metal cables and the crane's hook, leaving him dangerously exposed high above a residential high-rise building.
Seven-Hour Ordeal Ends With Miraculous Rescue
The rescue mission began after a vigilant bystander spotted the stranded teenager and alerted authorities. Fire teams rushed to the scene and executed a complex operation that involved scaling the side of the enormous crane to reach the boy.
Fire official Eyal Cohen described the incident as particularly serious, noting it represents one of several cases where young people in Jerusalem have been caught scaling tall structures around the city.
"This is a serious incident that ended in a miracle," Cohen stated, emphasising the fortunate outcome of what could have been a tragic event.
The successful conclusion came when rescue personnel managed to reach the teenager and carefully bring him back to solid ground, ending his seven-hour aerial ordeal that had stretched from night into morning.
