Signalling Fault Causes Rush Hour Chaos on Glasgow-Edinburgh Line

A signalling fault between Glasgow Queen Street and Charing Cross stations has caused significant disruption to ScotRail services, leading to delays and cancellations during the morning rush hour. Commuters traveling between Glasgow and Edinburgh are facing chaos as a result of the ongoing issue.

Services Affected

ScotRail confirmed that several routes are impacted, including low-level services at Queen Street. Trains from Edinburgh to Milngavie and Helensburgh, from Balloch to Airdrie, and from Milngavie to Springburn are among those affected. Services from Edinburgh to Milngavie will terminate and start back at Bathgate where possible, while trains to Helensburgh will experience delays.

Services between Milngavie and Springburn are running with delays, and Balloch to Airdrie services will only operate as far as Anniesland. Passengers from Milngavie can use the number 15 West Coast Motors bus service into Glasgow, as ticket acceptance is in place.
