Kia Reveals Three New Electric GT Models: EV3, EV4 & EV5 Performance EVs
Kia unveils trio of new electric GT models for 2026

Kia has dramatically expanded its high-performance electric vehicle lineup with the unveiling of three new GT-badged models at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show. The brand revealed the hotly anticipated EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT, marking a significant push to bring its sporty sub-brand to a wider range of electric cars.

Performance Meets Practicality in New Electric Trio

The new models represent a core part of Kia's strategy to apply its GT performance ethos across its electric portfolio, from compact SUVs and hatchbacks to larger family vehicles. Seehang Chang, President and CEO of Kia Europe, stated the new cars prove electrification can be emotional, offering an engaging and confidence-inspiring drive that combines instant electric power with sporty character.

All three new variants focus on blending upgraded hardware with software-driven features to enhance driver engagement without sacrificing everyday usability. They join the existing EV6 GT and EV9 GT in Kia's electric performance stable.

Technical Prowess: The EV3 GT and EV4 GT Detailed

The EV3 GT and EV4 GT share a common technical foundation built on Kia's E-GMP platform. Both feature a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system delivering a combined 288bhp (194bhp front, 94bhp rear), powered by a substantial 81.4kWh battery. Standard equipment includes GT-tuned electronically controlled suspension and 20-inch alloy wheels with performance tyres.

A dedicated GT drive mode synchronises power delivery, steering, suspension, and displays. Unique software features like Virtual Gear Shift aim to provide a more tactile driving sensation, while an active sound design creates a digital soundtrack that reacts to speed and load.

The EV3 GT brings this package to the compact SUV segment, measuring 4,310mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,575mm high. Kia promises it retains practical SUV traits while offering GT stability and control. Inside, it gains semi-bucket seats inspired by the EV9 GT and ambient lighting linked to the drive mode.

The EV4 GT, available as a hatchback or fastback, uses the same mechanicals in a sportier, lower body (4,450mm long, 1,860mm wide, 1,485mm high). Kia claims a more agile character, with a cabin featuring a three-spoke steering wheel and a dedicated GT-mode interface.

Performance is brisk for both: the EV3 GT hits 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds, with the EV4 GT a tenth quicker at 5.6 seconds. Both support fast charging, with a 10-80% charge claimed in approximately 31 minutes.

The Potent EV5 GT: A Larger Performance SUV

The third model, the EV5 GT, extends the treatment to Kia's mid-size SUV. Larger at 4,610mm long and 1,875mm wide, it also uses the E-GMP platform but boasts a more powerful dual-motor setup producing 301bhp. It features electronically controlled suspension augmented by a road preview system that scans the road ahead to adapt the chassis.

Riding on 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres, the EV5 GT achieves 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds.

Heritage and Arrival on UK Roads

Kia used the reveal to highlight the lineage of its GT badge, first seen on the Ceed GT in 2013, followed by models like the Stinger GT. The move to electrification began with the award-winning EV6 GT in 2022.

Production for all three new GT models is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with an arrival in UK showrooms expected towards the end of that year. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
