Dubai has cemented its reputation for architectural marvels with the grand opening of the world's tallest hotel, a new record-breaking landmark on its famous coastline.
A New Heights of Luxury
The Ciel Dubai Marina by IHG officially opens its doors, soaring to an impressive 377 metres. This colossal structure comprises 1,004 rooms and suites spread across its 82 floors, offering unparalleled views of the city and the Arabian Gulf.
Among its many lavish amenities, the hotel features one of the world's highest infinity pools, providing guests with breathtaking panoramic vistas of Dubai's coastline. For culinary delights, visitors can choose from eight on-site restaurants. This includes the acclaimed Tattu, an Asian fusion restaurant already well-known to UK diners through its establishments across the country.
Exclusive Amenities and Family Offerings
Further enhancing the guest experience, a luxurious spa on the 61st level is scheduled to open in February 2026. This wellness sanctuary will offer a range of treatments, a 24-hour state-of-the-art gym, and more stunning skyline views.
The hotel also provides exclusive access to the Soluna Beach Club on the iconic Palm Jumeirah, complete with a private pool and beach. Recognising the needs of all travellers, Ciel Dubai Marina is also family-friendly, offering a dedicated kids club and specially crafted child-friendly menus.
Redefining Dubai's Skyline and Status
Heinrich Morio, the Managing Director of Ciel Dubai Marina, expressed his pride in the project. "We are delighted to welcome guests to Ciel Dubai Marina, a visionary landmark that redefines innovation, luxury, and creativity at every level," he said. "This extraordinary hotel reflects Dubai’s status as a global destination for tourism and business, offering an experience that is as elevated as it is unforgettable."
With this opening, the hotel seizes the title of the world's tallest hotel from another Dubai property, the Gevora Hotel, which stands at 356 metres. It is important to distinguish this record from others, such as the highest hotel in a mixed-use building, a title held by the Rosewood Guangzhou in China's 530-metre CTF Finance Centre.
According to Guinness World Records, the record for the tallest hotel is specifically for buildings where 85% or more of the floor space is dedicated to hotel operations, a criterion which Ciel Dubai Marina meets.
