Guardian Travel Launches Winter Walking Competition
The Guardian Travel section has announced an exciting new competition, inviting readers to share their favourite winter walks across the United Kingdom for a chance to win a fantastic prize. The publication is seeking those perfect routes that come alive during the colder months, whether it's a bracing coastal path, a serene woodland hike, or a picturesque riverside trail.
How to Enter and Win
To enter, participants must submit a tip of approximately 100 words describing their preferred UK winter walk. The organisers are particularly interested in routes that feature a lovely pub or cafe along the way. The best entry of the week will be chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, who will award the winner a £200 voucher to be used with Coolstays, a company boasting over 3,000 unique properties worldwide.
While participants are encouraged to send in relevant photos, the judging will be based solely on the written description. For legal reasons, all entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over. The competition is set to close on Friday, 5th December at 10am GMT.
