A holidaymaker has sparked fury after being caught on camera sprinting to reserve seven sunbeds at a Spanish resort at the crack of dawn.
The brazen tourist was filmed dashing through the pool area at an unnamed hotel, frantically draping towels over multiple loungers while other guests looked on in disbelief.
Sunbed Wars Escalate
This latest incident highlights the ongoing "sunbed wars" that plague popular holiday destinations during peak season. Many resorts have strict policies against reserving sunbeds, yet the practice remains widespread.
Witnesses reported:
- The tourist arrived before 6am to claim prime spots
- Seven sunbeds were reserved with towels and personal items
- No one returned to use the beds for several hours
Resort Staff Take Action
Hotel employees were forced to intervene after complaints from other guests. Most Spanish resorts operate a "30-minute rule" - if beds remain unoccupied, staff remove the towels.
"This selfish behaviour ruins holidays for everyone," said one frustrated guest. "We pay good money to relax, not to play sunbed police."
