A travel influencer has revealed a secret pink beach in China that is free to enter and almost unknown to tourists. Denis, known as @denis_ttravel on Instagram, shared a video of the pink 'beach' located at the Hyatt Regency Sanya Tianli Bay in Sanya, China.
In the clip, Denis is seen relaxing on a pink sun lounger on the pink sand before heading to a Pink Beach Bar and swinging on a pink swing. He wrote in the caption: 'This isn’t exactly a typical beach, but more like an artificial photo zone away from the sea, created for striking shots and atmospheric pictures. Still, it looks incredibly beautiful, and you’ve probably never seen anything like it before.'
Entry is free even for non-guests. Denis added: 'No requests or explanations needed, just come in and enjoy.' The post has racked up over 21,000 likes on Instagram.
The man-made 'Barbie-style' installation features pink sand, sun loungers, umbrellas, and a snack bar. The sand gets its rosy hue from light-reflecting particles mixed with crushed coral. It is primarily a photo zone rather than a swimming beach, though the hotel has a natural beach nearby.
Located just 15 minutes from Sanya Phoenix International Airport, visitors can capture photos of planes flying low overhead. The best time to visit is late afternoon (3–5pm) when the pink colour is most vibrant under soft natural light. The beach is in the Tianya District, close to the Tianya Haijiao park. Access is free, and buses 125 or 25 from the city centre, or a taxi for 50–70 RMB (£6–8), can get you there.
