In a major boost for British holidaymakers, Ryanair has unveiled a significant expansion of its UK operations with four brand new European routes set to take off next summer.
The budget airline giant confirmed it will launch two new services from both Bournemouth Airport and East Midlands Airport, directly connecting these regions to some of Europe's most sought-after sunshine destinations.
Sun-Seeker Specials from the South Coast
From Bournemouth Airport (BOH), travellers will gain direct access to the stunning Balearic Islands with a new twice-weekly service to Palma de Mallorca starting in April 2025. Additionally, a new route to Girona opens the door to Spain's Costa Brava and the vibrant city of Barcelona, which is just a short train ride away.
Midlands Getaway Gateways
Over at East Midlands Airport (EMA), passengers can look forward to two new weekly routes. The airline will begin flights to the Algarve's golden coast in Faro, Portugal, perfect for beach holidays. Furthermore, a new service to Malta will offer history, culture, and Mediterranean charm from the heart of England.
A Ryanair spokesperson said: "We are pleased to announce these 4 new routes from Bournemouth and East Midlands airports to Palma, Girona, Faro and Malta as part of our UK Summer 2025 schedule."
This expansion not only provides more convenient and affordable travel options for locals but is also expected to boost inbound tourism, bringing more European visitors to these UK regions. Flight schedules and fares are expected to be released in the coming months, promising competitive prices for those looking to book their 2025 summer getaway early.
