Jet2 has announced new summer 2026 flights to the Greek island of Samos from three UK airports, with one-way fares starting at £72. The airline will operate a twice-weekly service from Manchester between 5 May and 30 October, with flights taking around four hours. Birmingham and London Stansted will also see new routes to the island.
Samos, situated closer to Turkey than the Greek mainland, is separated from the Asian coast by the narrow Mycale Strait. Surrounded by the Aegean Sea, it offers beaches that are typically quieter than those on nearby islands such as Mykonos and Kos. Some of its finest beaches are pebbled rather than sandy, including Tsamadou Beach, known for its turquoise waters and pine-covered mountains.
Kokkari Beach, on the northern coast, sits alongside a traditional fishing village with winding lanes, tavernas and sunset views. Another key destination is the town of Pythagoreio, named after the ancient mathematician Pythagoras, who was born on Samos. Visitors can explore a 6th-century aqueduct and the clifftop Monastery of Panagia Spiliani.
The island is covered in vineyards and is famous for sweet dessert wines made from local Muscat grapes. Wine tours are available, including at the Vakakis winery, where tastings are served with local olives and nibbles.

The routes mark the first time Jet2 has served Samos, with TUI previously the only operator from the UK via Gatwick.
