Geneva Crowned Europe's Most Luxurious City

Geneva has been named the most luxurious city in Europe, according to a new study by PrivateUpgrades. The Swiss city scored 98.3 out of 100 in an analysis of over 100 European cities, beating out fashion capitals and financial hubs.

The study measured luxury by comparing the concentration of five-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, and golf courses per capita. Geneva boasts the highest number of golf courses per capita at 7.36, along with 57 Michelin Guide restaurants and 18 five-star hotels per 100 square kilometres.

Known as the 'private banking capital of Switzerland', Geneva is home to the headquarters of the Red Cross, the World Health Organisation, and the World Trade Organisation. Despite its high-end reputation, the city offers affordable activities, including exploring the Old Town with its labyrinthine streets and enjoying proximity to the Swiss Alps and stunning lakes.
