World's First Guinness-Themed Food Hall Arrives in London

Guinness enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as the world's inaugural food hall dedicated exclusively to the iconic stout prepares to open its doors. This unique culinary experience will be available for a strictly limited period, offering fans an unprecedented opportunity to indulge in a specially curated menu where Guinness takes centre stage in every dish.

A Stout-Infused Culinary Celebration

The exclusive 'Guinness Grub' menu launches this month at Market Place Food Hall in Leicester Square, London, in honour of St Patrick's Day on 17th March. This temporary food hall will operate for just five days, from 16th to 20th March, serving bold-flavoured limited-edition creations that showcase the versatility of Ireland's famous black stout.

Visitors can expect an extensive lineup of both savoury and sweet offerings, including reimagined Irish takeaway classics, indulgent desserts, and hot beverages all infused with the distinctive character of Guinness. The venue promises to provide the perfect pre-celebration sustenance before patrons head out to enjoy St Patrick's Day festivities across the capital.

Signature Dishes from Participating Vendors

Duck Shed presents an elevated take on Ireland's beloved takeaway dish with their Irish Duck Spice Bag (£14.95). This premium version features crispy breaded duck strips served with chips, onions, and peppers, all tossed in traditional chilli and five-spice seasoning, accompanied by a rich Guinness-infused curry sauce.

Mister Lasagna contributes a Guinness Genovese Lasagna, available in half portions (£8.50), full portions (£12), or as part of a trio of flavours for an additional £1. This hearty creation showcases beef marinated in Guinness, with the stout also incorporated into a deeply flavoured ragu that forms the dish's foundation.

Cheeky Burger offers substantial fare for those seeking proper sustenance before a night out. Their Don Paddy Guinness Burger (£13) features a juicy beef patty topped with raclette cheese, caramelised Guinness onions, rocket salad, signature Guinness sauce, and crispy onions. Complementing this is their Guinness Animal Fries (£7), available with similar toppings.

Sweet Conclusions and Unusual Treats

For dessert, Crumble Mania serves a warming Guinness Crumble in regular (£7.95) or large (£10.95) portions. This comforting pudding combines a 0.0% Guinness-infused jam compote with a biscuity crumble topping, served hot with creamy custard.

Soft Serve Society ventures into more unconventional territory with three Guinness-infused sweet treats: a Guinness Cookie (£4.50), Guinness Coffee (£5.95), and perhaps most intriguingly, Guinness Soft Serve ice cream (£4.75).

The Venue and Atmosphere

Located in the heart of Leicester Square, Market Place Food Hall provides an ideal gathering point for Londoners and visitors alike to mark this annual celebration. With Guinness on tap, exclusive food specials, and the vibrant atmosphere for which the venue has become renowned, guests can anticipate lively celebrations from afternoon through evening on St Patrick's Day itself.

Holly Hilton, Marketing Director at Market Place Food Halls, commented: 'Leicester Square represents the perfect setting for a celebration of this magnitude. Our collaboration with Guinness brings together exceptional drinks, incredible street food, and an unbeatable atmosphere right in London's centre. We're proud to create a genuinely inclusive space that welcomes families, friends, and even four-legged guests to come together and celebrate.'

This temporary food hall represents a novel approach to St Patrick's Day celebrations, transforming culinary tradition into an immersive experience that honours Ireland's most famous export through innovative gastronomy.
