Google has launched its Pixel 11 smartphone range, and shoppers can save up to £850 on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL by trading in an eligible device before September 1. The four new models – Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold – arrive in stores worldwide on August 20.
Pricing and trade-in details
The entry-level Pixel 11 starts at £879, while the Pixel 11 Pro begins at £1,079. Customers who order the Pro or Pro XL by September 1 and trade in a qualifying phone can receive up to £850 back, including a £400 enhanced bonus on top of the standard trade-in value. Depending on the handset exchanged, the Pixel 11 Pro could effectively cost as little as £229.
For comparison, Sky Mobile offers the Pixel 11 Pro with 25GB data from £30 per month plus £12 upfront over 36 months, totalling £1,092 before mid-contract price increases. Buying directly from Google during the trade-in promotion could save customers as much as £863, according to the Daily Record.
Contract costs and SIM options
Sky's monthly contracts include only 100MB of data, so larger data plans cost extra – an unlimited SIM adds £21 per month, bringing the total to £51 monthly, or £1,836 over the contract. However, Google's £850 offer is based on trading in a 1TB iPhone 16 Pro; other smartphones may receive a lower value.
Google sells the phone unlocked and without a SIM, so buyers need a separate SIM-only deal. At giffgaff, an unlimited SIM is available for £14 (was £25) on an 18-month contract, or £20 (was £35) on a monthly rolling plan, both with unlimited UK minutes, texts, data, and up to 5GB of EU roaming. Mobiles.co.uk offers a free £369 Pixel Watch 5 and £50 phone case on select tariffs, including iD Mobile's £27.99 100GB plan with a £49 upfront cost.
Features and early reviews
The Pixel 11 Pro is powered by Google's Tensor G6 chip, described as its 'fastest and most powerful' yet, paired with a Titan M3 coprocessor for on-device security. It features a 6.3-inch Super Actua display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, IP68 dust and water resistance, an upgraded camera with 8K video and up to 120x zoom, and Magic Capture for simultaneous photos and videos using Google AI.
Android Central has reviewed the device, calling it 'spectacular' and praising its camera system as 'exceptional'. They noted that the Pro and Pro XL models are 'basically the exact same models as last year', with improvements mainly in hardware and software. They also highlighted the upgraded zoom capabilities, with the base model offering 30x zoom and Pro models 120x zoom, and the new ability to use Circle to Search directly from the camera.
