Everton will demand around £70 million for in-demand forward Iliman Ndiaye, with Manchester United and Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal both interested. Ndiaye, 26, has attracted attention after strong performances on Merseyside.
Ndiaye open to exit as Al-Hilal circle
The forward is open to leaving Everton and his camp would encourage a bid from Al-Hilal. However, Manchester United are also in the running, with left wing a priority this summer. Michael Carrick's side have shortlisted Ndiaye and are tracking his situation.
The Athletic reports that Everton are aware of Al-Hilal's interest, although no talks between clubs have taken place. Everton are expected to ask for a fee similar to the £70 million Barcelona paid Newcastle United for Anthony Gordon. Ndiaye has three years left on his contract and Everton are in no rush to sell.
United's left-wing search
Ndiaye has come to the forefront of United's options after Morgan Rogers went to Chelsea for £117m and Yan Diomande indicated he wants to join Real Madrid. However, the search for a left winger is not as pressing as other areas, with Marcus Rashford due to be integrated back after a season on loan at Barcelona.
Everton have tried to offer Ndiaye an improved contract to fend off interest, but he has rejected their proposals. The Toffees paid £15m for Ndiaye two years ago when he arrived from Marseille.
Ndiaye's record and ambition
The former Sheffield United star has scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 71 appearances for Everton. He went to the World Cup with Senegal, starting one of four games as they reached the last 32. Despite playing 127 minutes, he came away with one goal and two assists.
Before the World Cup, Ndiaye said: "As I've always said, I want to be the best player and to do that, you have to play at the top. I want to be playing at the top level. I want to be playing Champions League football."
