Newcastle-based property technology company iamproperty has expanded from a two-man operation to a workforce of more than 750 people and is now recruiting an additional 40 staff. The firm, founded in 2009 by Jamie Cooke and Ben Ridgway, reported a 20% increase in revenue to £61.2m for the year to October 2025.
Growth and Financial Performance
Adjusted EBITDA rose over 14% to £17.2m, driven by investment in innovation, strategic acquisitions, and expansion into new markets. The company, based in Gosforth, offers services including the Modern Method of Auction, conveyancing, and compliance to estate agents. It now works with over 7,000 branches across the UK.
Innovations and Expansions
Key innovations included AI enhancements and the launch of a market appraisals tool. The business also acquired The ValPal Network, which iamproperty says enables it to offer the most powerful end-to-end lead-generation capability in the UK residential property market. Auction sales rose, helping estate agents sell £2.1bn worth of property, up from £1.8bn the previous year. A new partnership was formed with Yopa, and expansion into central London included partnering with Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH).
Leadership and Backing
Co-founders Jamie Cooke and Ben Ridgway recently received honorary doctorates from Northumbria University, where they met. Ben Ridgway said: “It’s been another successful year of consistent growth as more estate agents choose our tech and service to win in their markets. We’ve invested heavily in our teams and technology and will continue to as we deliver on our ecosystem vision.” Jamie Cooke added: “Auction is where it all started for the business, and it’s still a huge part of what we do. Our Partner Agents are selling more properties every year with Auction, boosting their revenues and most importantly achieving the fast and secure sales their clients are looking for. For over 15 years we’ve grown our footprint to have a strong holding of agency branches across the UK and are still driven to give even more consumers options when it comes to how they buy and sell property. Our expansion across the London market is key to this.”
iamproperty is backed by Perwyn, a UK and European private equity investor. Gurinder Sunner, partner at Perwyn, said: “We are impressed by the iamproperty team’s continued execution. Since our investment, the business has strengthened its market-leading position by building an increasingly interconnected ecosystem of solutions for Estate Agents. The company’s sustained growth reinforces our confidence in its long-term opportunity, and we are excited to support the next phase of development.”
