Crimson Desert Update 1.14 Adds Cross-Save Feature Across All Platforms
Crimson Desert Update 1.14 Adds Cross-Platform Saves

Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has released update 1.14 for the action-adventure game, adding a highly requested cross-save feature that allows players to transfer their progress across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The patch is available now on all platforms.

Cross-Save Feature Finally Arrives

The headline addition in Crimson Desert update 1.14 is the cross-save functionality, which enables players to continue their adventure using a single save file across multiple platforms. This means gamers who own the title on more than one system—or those considering a second purchase—can seamlessly pick up where they left off without losing progress. The feature supports PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, covering the vast majority of the player base.

Extensive Bug Fixes and Improvements

Beyond the cross-save addition, update 1.14 addresses numerous bugs and quality-of-life issues. A notable fix resolves an issue where the quest "A Dwarf's Concern" could not be completed, which had been blocking some players from progressing. Another fix corrects a control problem that occurred when a pet jumped onto a bed while the player was interacting with it, causing the character to become unresponsive.

Combat and action adjustments include aligning Damiane's "Skystep" ability with the same control input as Oongka's "Vertical Flight" for consistency, and fixing an issue where "Aerial Force Palm" would be interrupted while the character was free-falling.

Localization and Other Fixes

The update also improves localization quality across all supported languages, fixing various errors to ensure a smoother experience for non-English players. Additional fixes address unnatural character motion on mounts at high speed, missing sound effects after the battle with Praevus the Ancient, persistent sound effects for "Ator's Orb" after the orb disappears, and NPCs being unable to pass through open wooden gates.

Since its launch in March 2025, Crimson Desert has received consistent post-release support from Pearl Abyss, with each update adding meaningful content and features. The game has earned praise on Steam for its ongoing improvements and responsiveness to community feedback.
