Virgin Media has reduced the price of its flagship Sport bundle to £52.99 per month, down from £56.99, as part of a Summer of Sport sale running until September 9. The deal, which saves £96 over the 24-month contract, is available ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season, which kicks off on Friday, August 21.
What the bundle includes
The package includes more than 200 TV channels, nine Sky Sports channels covering the Premier League, EFL, F1, and golf, plus 516Mbps fibre broadband and a free Netflix subscription. New customers must commit to a 24-month contract, but Virgin Media will pay up to £300 to cover early exit fees from another provider.
Virgin Media has announced that Sport bundle customers will see their bills rise to £56.99 from April 2027 and £60.99 from April 2028.
Other discounted packages
The Sport + Cinema bundle is also reduced to £62.99 (was £66.99), adding Sky Cinema channels. The Max Volt bundle, at £74.99 (was £78.99), includes all TV, Sky Sport, Sky Cinema, and Netflix, plus 1,130Mbps broadband, an O2 Classic Plan SIM with unlimited data, minutes, and texts, roaming in 75 destinations, and a three-month O2 Extra such as Disney+ or Amazon Prime.
Sky's offering and fan feedback
Sky has confirmed it will broadcast more than 1,500 fixtures this season across the Premier League, EFL, and WSL, included with its £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle or the £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which adds five streaming subscriptions including Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+.
UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches are not shown on Sky or terrestrial channels, with TNT Sports and HBO Max holding exclusive rights.
Customer reviews on Trustpilot are mixed. One five-star review said: “Virgin have been excellent. I’m working from home and struggled initially with poor broadband. Moved to Virgin and haven’t had any issues at all. My other half is also very happy because he can watch football without any frustrating buffering.” Another said: “Really happy with the number of varied TV channels available. I love sports, mainly Premier League football, and am very pleased with the service providing Sky Sports.” A three-star review noted: “The internet just switches off midway watching a film or football match, it is very frustrating.”
