Tesco Recalls Chocolate Bars Over Peanut Allergy Risk
Tesco Recalls Chocolate Bars Over Peanut Allergy Risk

Tesco has issued a recall for two own-brand chocolate bar multipacks because they contain peanuts, which are not declared on the label. The supermarket is urging customers to check if they have purchased the affected products.

The recall applies to the Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack (six-pack) with a best before date of 28/02/2025, and the Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack (six-pack) with best before dates of 28/02/2025 and 31/01/2025. The products typically retail for £1.15.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has echoed the alert, advising consumers not to eat the bars. A mispack is believed to be the cause of the undeclared peanut content. For individuals with a peanut allergy, even small exposure can cause severe reactions, including anaphylaxis.
