Sam Fender has confirmed that Wunderhorse will be the support act on all dates of his 2027 Proper Massive stadium tour, a choice that has delighted many fans. The announcement came on Wednesday morning alongside the full list of tour dates and locations, ending weeks of speculation about the North Shields singer's summer plans.
Tour dates and support act revealed
The tour will kick off with two nights at St James' Park in early June. The dates were confirmed after a weekend teaser saw the words 'Proper Massive SF 27' displayed pitchside and on a screen inside the ground during Newcastle United's defeat to Aston Villa. A Lord of the Rings-inspired video released on Monday had already hinted at the stadium tour.
Wunderhorse, a British alt-rock band known for their live performances, previously supported Fender at St James' Park in June 2023. Fans reacted positively on X, with one writing: "Wunderhorse opening for Fender is a proper dream bill." Another echoed: "Wunderhorse being added to the show is the cherry on top."
